PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conductive paste for forming an electrode, with which an electrochemical element excellent in durability can be obtained and which has good stability, and an electrochemical element.SOLUTION: Conductive paste for forming an electrode contains a carbon material, a thickener and a solvent. The carbon material has a specific surface area of 750-3,000 m/g, a methylene blue adsorptivity of 150 ml/g or more, and a spectrum that shows at least three peaks in a range of 1,250-1,700 cm, as obtained by laser Raman spectroscopy at an excitation wavelength of 532 nm. The thickener contains a cellulose-based polymer having a viscosity of 300-18,000 mPa s when the thickener is prepared into a 1 mass% aqueous solution, and further has a content of 0.2-1.5 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of the carbon material. |
