TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING DELAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress false detection in the measurement of transmission delay between nodes.SOLUTION: A transmission device includes: a transmission section; a measurement section; and a determination section. The transmission section transmits a plurality of frames added with a prescribed bit to an opposite device so that the bit stream of the prescribed bit becomes a prescribed pattern when transmission delay between the device and the opposite device is measured. The measurement section measures a time from when the bit stream of the prescribed pattern is transmitted to the opposite device to when the bit stream of the prescribed pattern is received from the opposite device. The determination section determines a delay time necessary for transmission delay based on the measurement results of the measurement section.
