PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of desirably correcting the exposure on a high dynamic range composite image, as a user desires.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit that takes an image of a subject to generate image data; an exposure correction amount setting section that sets an exposure correction amount for correcting the exposure amount of the imaging unit; an exposure control section that controls the exposure of the imaging unit based on the set exposure correction amount; a signal synthesis section that synthesizes plural image data which are taken by the imaging unit with plural different exposure amounts to generate synthetic data; and a gradation change section that changes the gradation of the generated synthetic data; and a gradation control section that controls the gradation change by the gradation change section based on the set exposure correction amount. The imaging apparatus is applicable to an imaging apparatus which includes an exposure correction function such as, for example, a digital still camera. |
