PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device with which it is possible to ensure that the supply of a lubricant to a cleaning member does not become excessive and thereby stabilize a friction force, and to prevent the chattering or turning-up, etc., of a blade.SOLUTION: An image formation device (100) comprises: transfer means (50) for transferring a toner image on an image carrier (91) to a recording material (P); a cleaning member (27) for rubbing the image carrier (91) and scraping the remaining transfer toner off the image carrier; and lubricant application means (25) for applying a lubricant to the image carrier (91). The image formation device (100) further comprises: drive means (21) for driving the lubricant application means (25); and control means for controlling the drive means (21) so that, when the time in which a region corresponding to between recording materials passes through a transfer position (N2) during image formation is greater than or equal to a set time, the amount of the lubricant applied by the lubricant application means (25) is reduced as compared at least with the case where said time is less than the set time. |
