PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer improved in the processing performance of printing.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a discharge head 8 formed with a nozzle discharging a UV ink hardened by the irradiation of ultraviolet light; a main scanning portion which relatively moves the discharge head 8 to a printed medium in a main scanning direction; a sub scanning portion which relatively moves the discharge head 8 to the printed medium in a sub scanning direction which is a direction intersecting the main scanning direction; and a UV irradiating portion 92 provided on a downstream side of the discharge head 8 in the sub scanning direction. The irradiation amount of the UV irradiating portion 92 in main scanning which does not discharge the UV ink from the discharge head 8 and irradiates the ultraviolet light from the UV irradiating portion, is larger than the irradiation amount of the UV irradiating portion 92 in main scanning which discharges the UV ink from the discharge head 8 and irradiates the ultraviolet light from the UV irradiating portion 92. |
