A gas burner comprises inner and outer concentric tube 7 and 8 which respectively supply oxygen and fuel gas to disc-shaped nozzle plate 9, oxygen passages 13 from tube 7 passing through the plate to open in a circular arrangement at its front face and two sets of passages 15 and 16 from the tube 8 passing through the plate, passages 15 and 16 opening inwardly and outwardly respectvely of the oxygen passages 13. Coaxial tubes 17 and 18 provide external and internal water jackets 19 and 20 partitioned by tubes 21 and 22 to allow flow and return water passages. In the burner of Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the nozzle plate is rectangular and the exit ends of the passages 13, 15 and 16 are disposed in rows. |
