The purpose of the present invention is to provide a phosphor wheel, which is capable of suppressing vibration due to a drive section that rotationally drives the wheel, and is capable of reducing noise in a high frequency band. This phosphor wheel is configured from: a wheel substrate that is provided with a phosphor material on the surface; a drive section that rotates the wheel substrate; a supporting section, which supports the drive section, and is fixed to a housing; and a cushioning member that is provided so as to fill a space between the supporting section and a part of the housing.
