An eddy current selection device comprising: a magnetic field rotating disk (1) having the polarity thereof alternately inverted and having a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in the circumferential direction; a pallet (2) arranged separated by a gap from the magnetic field rotating disk; a drive unit (14) having a rotating shaft attached to the magnetic field rotating disk; a supply unit (3) that holds objects for selection and supplies a prescribed amount of the objects for selection to the pallet; a discharge unit (4) having two collection containers and, when changed from a closed state to an open state, collecting, to these collection containers, objects for selection that have been supplied from the supply unit to the pallet; and a control unit (30) that controls the magnetic field rotating disk (1); the drive unit (14), the supply unit (3), and the discharge unit (4). The eddy current selection device executes: a first step in which the prescribed amount of objects for selection are supplied from the supply unit to the pallet; a second step in which, after a set time has passed after the first step has been completed, changes the discharge unit from the closed state to the open state; and a third step in which, after the second step has been completed, returns the discharge unit to the closed state. Once the third step has been completed, the first to third steps are executed again. |
