The invention relates to a linear actuator with chain drive that comprises a lead screw (2) operated by a nut (3) that is in turn operated by a gear motor (4), the linear actuator being characterised in that said motor (4) is separated from the nut (3) and in that the nut (3) is operated by a chain drive (5) that incorporates: a ring gear (6) coupled to the nut (3) that operates the lead screw (2); and pinion (7) coupled to the output shaft of the motor (4), the ring gear (6) and the pinion (7) being connected to each other by the chain (5), which is covered by a protective metal cover (8). The gear motor (4) is mounted on threaded studs (10). The actuator (1) has a steel box (9) that contains the nut (3), the lead screw (2) being protected on one side by rubber bellows (11) and on the other side by a metal tube (12). One of the ends of the lead screw (2) has a hole (13) suitable for securing same to the machine for which it is intended, and the other end has an end stop (14) that limits the movement of the lead screw. |
