PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide formulations which can safely and effectively improve insulin resistance leading to development of diseases including a type 2 diabetes mellitus or metabolic syndrome.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a composition containing press residues of apple fruits and rosemary extract. The invention relates to an insulin resistance improving agent, in which rosemary leaf extract is preferable as a rosemary extract, and preferably it is extracted using C1-4 alcohol as an extracting solvent. The composition containing 5 to 15-fold press residues of apple fruits at a mass ratio to the rosemary extract is administered at doses of 10-50 mg/kg per day. |
