PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-acting guide system excellent in productivity and low in cost because of no need of high component accuracy, thin in end caps, and compact.SOLUTION: A holder 4 includes a central linear portion 41 and curved portions 42 on both ends, respectively, and an angle α formed between the linear portion 41 and each curved portion 42 of the holder 4 is an acute angle when the holder 4 is not attached to a slider 2. A holder accommodation groove 21 accommodating therein each curved portion 42 is formed in an outer end surface of each end cap 2B, an inclined surface 23 inclined inward in a longitudinal direction of a guide rail 1 toward an outside of the guide rail 1 in a width direction is formed in a groove bottom of the holder accommodation groove 21, and an inclination angle &bgr; formed between the inclined surface 23 and each linear portion 41 is an acute angle greater than the angle α. Each curved portion 42 is engaged with the holder accommodation groove 21 while being extended outward in the longitudinal direction and elastically urged outward in the longitudinal direction so as to generate an elastic force inward in the longitudinal direction. |
