The keyboard body 102 is configured so as to rotate around a predetermined supporting point by the operation of the subject 2, and includes a front end part for receiving the operation of the subject 2 and a rear end part 108 provided at a position opposed to the front end part so as to rotate in conjunction with the rotation of the front end part. An optical sensor 202 is formed of a non-magnetic material for detecting the position of the rear face of the rear end part 108, and generates output that changes according to the direction of the rear face of the rear end part 108 accompanying the rotation.
