The invention relates to a lock mechanism for unlocking and locking entrances to access-protected areas. The lock mechanism has a lock cylinder which has at least one blocking element; a control unit which has an electronics unit that checks an access authorization, the control unit being controllable via a wireless connection and controlling the blocking element according to the access authorization; a handle which can be disposed such that it is freely movable when there is no access authorization; and, when there is access authorization, cooperation of the handle with the blocking element, which blocking element opens the lock mechanism. The invention also relates to a method for unlocking and locking entrances to access-protected areas, and to a system consisting of a mobile communications device, in particular a smartphone, and the described lock mechanism. |
