The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a minute cellulose fiber dispersion liquid having a high thickening effect and gelling function. Provided is an underground layer processing composition containing minute cellulose fibers, and having a haze value when the solid fraction concentration of the cellulose fibers is an 0.2 mass% suspension in water of 1.0-50%. The composition can be used for processing an underground layer, particularly as an additive to a fluid during boring processing. The present invention also provides various fluids used during boring processing. The present invention further provides: a method for processing an underground layer, for example in an excavation such as of a test well, an evaluation well, an exploratory well, a development well, a production well, an injection well, an observation well, a service well, or the like; cementing; fracturing; and a method for producing oil resources. |
