The present invention is an electric motor that can suppress electric corrosion of a bearing. A conductive shaft (30) extends along a rotational axis (P), passes through a back yoke (212), and is affixed to one of a stator (20) and a rotor (10). A plurality of bearings (41, 42) respectively have a conductive inner ring (411, 421) that is affixed to the shaft (30), and a conductive outer ring (412, 422) that is rotatably affixed to the inner ring (411, 421). A conductive bearing housing (50): avoids a first region that is further to one side than the stator (20) in the axial direction, which runs along the rotational axis (P); extends through a second region that is on the other axial direction side; is affixed to at least the two outer rings (412, 422) of the plurality of bearings (41, 42); and is affixed to the other of the stator (20) and the rotor (10). An electrically grounded plate (60) is provided in the first region so as to face the stator (20) with an interval therebetween. |
