PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assist system for providing an acceleration feel similar to that for a gasoline vehicle to a driver by sound and vibration actually generated by an engine when a hybrid electric vehicle runs using a drive force generated by a motor.SOLUTION: The invention can provide a drive assist system of a hybrid electric vehicle (vehicle 10) that can implement motoring of an engine 15 by a second rotating electrical machine (generator 14) in a case in which the vehicle 10 runs using a drive force generated by a first rotating electrical machine (motor 11), comprising: a vehicle velocity sensor 18; an acceleration sensor 20; and an electronic control unit (ECU 19) issuing a motoring command to the second rotating electrical machine (generator 14) so that the engine 15 rotates at a rotating speed in response to the vehicle velocity and an accelerator operation state, the drive assist system providing an acceleration feel similar to that for a gasoline vehicle to a driver by sound and vibration actually generated by the engine 15. |
