generating a radio resource control (RRC) message by the NE that includes high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) common system information in System Information Block (SIB)5 or SIB 5bis; sending, by the NE to a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU), the RRC message such that the WTRU performs a medium access control (MAC) reset on condition that a variable HS DSCH RECEPTION OF CCCH ENABLED is set to TRUE. |
