The present invention provides a Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy apparatus and a method therefor. A Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a broadband light source for outputting light in a first direction; a beam splitter for receiving output light from the broadband light source, transmitting a part of the output light in the first direction, and reflecting another part of the output light in a second direction, which is perpendicular to the first direction; a first fixed mirror arranged to be spaced from the beam splitter in the first direction so as to reflect the transmitted light; a second fixed mirror arranged to be spaced from the beam splitter in the second direction so as to reflect the reflected light; a first cylindrical convex lens arranged between the first fixed mirror and the beam splitter; a second cylindrical convex lens arranged between the first cylindrical convex lens and the first fixed mirror; and a photodetection unit for measuring an interference signal. The beam splitter couples the reflection light, which has been reflected by the first fixed mirror, and the light, which has been reflected by the second fixed mirror, thereby providing the interference signal. The position of focus of the first cylindrical convex lens coincides with the position of focus of the second cylindrical convex lens. The first cylindrical convex lens and the second cylindrical convex lens provide position-dependent optical paths. |
