Surveillance systems and methods for detecting unauthorized access are provided. A network device having one or more cameras integrated therein is provided. The network device may incorporate one or more physical connections to provide mechanical and/or electrical connections to one or more additional cameras. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the cameras are cosmetically undetectable on a surface of the network device. Therefore, the cameras are less likely to be vandalized.

1. A surveillance system comprising:
one or more network devices including one or more cameras integrated therewith, wherein the one or more network devices are provided with software and hardware that enables the one or more network devices to integrate with the one or more cameras; and a control arrangement coupled to the one or more network devices via a communication network, wherein the control arrangement is operable to control the one or more cameras to monitor activities of unauthorized users.
