The present invention is related to a cassette sequence (2) for the transformation of a host cell (1) comprising at least: - a first nucleotide sequence (3) encoding a peptide or protein of interest (7) to be produced by said host cell (1), said first sequence (3) being linked to - a second nucleotide sequence (5) providing resistance to a toxin (11, 12, 15) or encoding an antitoxin peptide (9) to the toxin (11, 12, 15) and wherein the nucleotide sequences (3, 5) are organized in such a way that production of the peptide (9) encoded by the second nucleotide sequence(s) (5) is translationally coupled to production of the peptide (7) encoded by the first nucleotide sequence (3).
