<p>TOOLS AND METHODS FOR HANGING AND/OR EXPANDING LINER A method of expanding a liner (925) in a wellbore, comprising: running the liner (925) and an expander assembly (950) into the wellbore using a run-in string (685), wherein the expander assembly (950) comprises an electric actuator (1045), a two-position expander (975), a piston (711), and a cone (730c); dropping a ball or dart (995) having a radio frequency identification tag (850 p,a) from surface to a shoe (940) of the liner (925), thereby closing the shoe (940), wherein the electric actuator (1045) supplies fluid pressure to the piston (711) in response to communication with the radio frequency identification tag (850 p,a), thereby driving the cone (73 Oc) into a corrugated portion (935) of the liner (925) and forming a launcher in the liner (925) for the expander assembly (950) and shifting the two-position expander (975) from a contracted position to an expanded position in the launcher; and expanding the liner (925) using the two position expander (975) in the expanded position.</p> |
