A method for providing information relative to resources accessible via a wireless network comprising wireless access points for items of end-user wireless communication equipment comprises providing for each resource a unique information element which is introduced into a specific wireless signaling channel for transmission to at least an item of wireless communication equipment where the information element is extracted from the wireless signaling channel and processed jointly with the wireless transmission for presentation together with wireless network information for items of end-user wireless communication equipment prior to the latter establishing any connection with the wireless network identified by the wireless network identifier.
