<p>An automatic lock indicator equipped key 1 having a bow assembly 20 mounted with limited rotation to a key blade 10, the rotational position of the key handle relative to the blade indicating the status of the lock. Preferably the shank has a cylindrical end with a transverse indicating pin. The bow may be constructed of two halves housing the end of the key blade; the housing preferably having a slot accommodating the pin, the slot may have a protuberance in the middle to retain the pin at one of two end positions. The slot may have a small slit at each end providing some resilience in the housing as the pin moves within the slot.</p> |
