The present invention relates to a multi-layered air filter medium and a production method thereof. The air filter medium of the present invention increases collection efficiency and decreases a pressure loss, as a dense layer and a bulky layer are laminated while being in a liquid state. In addition, a liquid alkylketene dimer (AKD) water repellent is mixed in the dense layer, and thus water repellency remarkably increases as the water repellent is uniformly distributed on the whole fibers making up the dense layer. As the bulky layer and the top of the bulky layer are laminated while they are in a liquid state and when the moisture in the dense layer mixed with AKD water repellent is eliminate, water repellency further increases by spraying a second water repellent on an outer surface of the dense layer.
