摘要 <p>A system comprising a disinfection source and a process subsystem comprising a processor and program instructions executable by the processor for receiving data regarding room identifying information of a room in which the disinfection source is arranged and determining, based on the data, one or more individual operating parameters for the disinfection source. The parameters controlled include run time, rate of discharge of germicide, speed, position and orientation of the disinfection source. The program may access a database comprising a list of rooms and corresponding predetermined operating parameters. The system may further comprise a user interface for inputting room data, such as a keypad or a barcode scanner. Also claimed is a system comprising a disinfection source and a program for receiving data regarding the physical characteristics of a room to be disinfected. The speed of disinfection source through the room being altered in response to the data. The system could move using motorized wheels and sensors to manoeuvre around obstacles or could learn a room through sensing in real time as it moved or could be manually pushed through the room while the system mapped the room and a CPU of the system analysed the map and determined the correct dose at each position.</p>
