<p>An arm muscle sensor switch takes the form of a band 2 that can be wrapped around the widest part of the forearm and is triggered in response to expanding the fore-arm or brachioradialis muscle, by squeezing the hand or bending the arm. The sensor switch comprises an expandable inner band 3, the movement of which triggers switch 1. Inner band 3 can be sheet plastic or a leather strap and have elasticised portions 4a, 4b to allow it to expand with expansion of the muscle. Outer band 2 can also be sheet plastic or leather and have an overlapping hook and loop fastener 7 to allow adjustment of the fit. The switch can have a cable 5 or a wireless transmitter for connection to a mobile device such as a PDA pocket computer.</p> |
