<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket-shaped medical treatment instrument superior in the capability of catching foreign substances, and capable of repeatedly catching and breaking foreign substances. <P>SOLUTION: The basket-shaped medical treatment instrument 2 includes: an operation wire; a basket part 22 which can be expanded or contracted; and a distal end tip 26 with a plurality of basket wires 22a-22d which compose the basket part 22 and whose distal ends are bundled. Each basket wire 22a-22d has at least an inward bending part r1 and a plurality of outward bending parts r2-r4 in the order from a proximal end r0 of the basket part 22 toward the distal end tip 26 while the basket part 22 is expanded. When the length of each basket wire 22a-22d from the proximal end of the basket part 22 to the distal end tip along the wire is L0, and the distance from the proximal end of the basket part 22 to the inward bending part nearest to the proximal end along the wire of the basket wires 22a-22d is L1, 1/20≤L1/L0≤1/4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
