<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe which allows the outer diameter of a distal end part to be formed small and is capable of easily photographing oral tissue of a front tooth part and a molar part or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The probe 30 is used in an optical interference tomographic image generator 1 for distributing a laser beam into measurement light for subject irradiation and reference light for reference mirror irradiation, analyzing interference light for which scattered light from a subject S and reflected light reflected at a reference mirror 21 are combined, and generating optical interference tomographic images, and recovers the scattered light which is radiated to the subject S and returned. The probe 30 includes an optical fiber 60A, a scanning means 33 for changing the irradiation direction with the laser beam from the optical fiber 60A, a nozzle 37 for irradiating the subject with the measurement light from the scanning means 33 and recovering the scattered light, and a housing 3 for holding the optical fiber 60A, the scanning means 33 and the nozzle 37.
