The present invention relates to an automatic transmission for a vehicle, comprising: an input shaft which receives power from an engine; a first planetary gear set selectively connected to a transmission housing; a second planetary gear set where power is inputted from a input shaft and the first planetary gear set; a third planetary gear set connected to the first planetary gear set and selectively connected to the second planetary gear set; a fourth planetary gear set selectively connected to the second planetary gear set and connected to the third planetary gear set; and an output shaft connected to the third planetary gear set to output shifted power, as such, the invention enables to increase a reverse gear ratio in a reverse gear.
