A structure that allows domain devices to copy or move encrypted content and use the encrypted content in common is realized. A domain key stored in common in domain devices belonging to the same domain is stored into the storage unit of an information storage device such as a memory card that stores content. In a domain device registration process, a domain key is input from a managing server, and is stored into the protected area. Encrypted content and a converted title key generated by encrypting, with the domain key, data containing the title key to be used in decrypting the encrypted content are stored into the general-purpose area. As the encrypted content and the converted title key stored in the general-purpose area are moved or copied between domain devices, so that the encrypted content can be decrypted and used with the domain key held in common among the domain devices.
