The present invention relates to a device and method for a wound management. This invention enables an appropriate treatment and minimizes an occurrence of a scar by providing information related to the most appropriate dressing material for a state of a wound to a patent as it comes. Also, if a hospital visitation is required, then it is recommended immediately and thus prevents in advance a side effect due to a delay in a treatment. A method of this invention is specifically useful in monitoring a scar that needs a long term care and providing information on a dressing appropriate to a treatment step of a changed wound.
