<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a probability that a muffler cover may be deformed due to the heat of a muffler. <P>SOLUTION: In a walking-type management machine 1 comprising the muffler 11 for sound-muffling an exhaust sound of an engine 5 and the muffler cover 12 covering the outside of the muffler 11, the walking-type management machine also comprises: a cooling wind passage forming member 15 of an inverted square-recessed shape which covers the upper surface and right and left side surfaces of the muffler 11 while making a prescribed interval exist therebetween, and forms a cooling wind passage between the upper surface and the right and left side surfaces of the muffler 11; and a wind leading member 16 which is extended in a tilted state toward the inside of a belt transmission mechanism 6 from a lower position of the muffler 11 and leads a cooling wind discharged from a cooling wind outlet 5c of the engine 5 toward the belt transmission mechanism 6 to a clearance between the muffler 11 and the cooling wind passage forming member 15.
