To provide an on-vehicle display apparatus which can suppress the limit to the size of a flat display to enhance the marketability. The on-vehicle display apparatus includes a flat display 21b capable of displaying various types of information, a light-transmitting substrate 21a provided on a front-face side of the flat display 21b, a pointer 22 provided in the light-transmitting substrate 21a, a pointer drive means 25 and 26 provided on a back-face side of the flat display 21b for rotating the pointer 22, a movement mechanism 5 for moving the light-transmitting substrate 21a to the outside of a display range, a first magnet 22c provided for the pointer 22, and a second magnet 22c provided for the pointer drive means 25 and 26 to be opposite to the first magnet 22c. When the light-transmitting substrate 21a is positioned on the front-face side of the flat display 21b, the pointer 22 is rotated in association with rotation drive of the pointer drive means 25 and 26 by attraction force of the first and second magnets 22c, 25a. |
