FORWARD LATE PREDICTIVE RENDERING IN A GRAPHICS SYSTEM

A graphic processing operation can include a set of render target operations. Render targets are decoded, and one or more intermediate computations are performed before generating a final render target output. A method for performing graphic processing comprises the following steps: determining dependency between render targets; and defining scheduling of tiles to reduce or eliminate a need to write intermediate computations as an external memory. An interleaved order can be determined to maintain the intermediate computation of a dependent render target operation in an on-chip cache hierarchy.
