[Also in Division B5] A carton blank, Fig. 1, comprises a base panel 10, four foldably connected side walls 11, 12, 13, 14, and a lid 15 with tuck-in flap 16. Lid-supporting flaps 17 are provided on walls 13, 14. Wall 11 has at each free end a foldable gusset 19 with crease line 18 and a front wall securing flap 26. Walls 13, 14 each have a foldably connected gusset 23 with a crease line 24. Strips of adhesive 27, 29 are deposited on parts 14, 23. Parts 14, 23 are folded down upon the blank about crease line 31, as shown at the left-hand side of the Fig. 1, strips 27, 29 adhering to flap 26 and part 12 and the flat folded blank is then erected to form the carton. In a modification, Fig. 8, an adhesive strip 37 is applied to a foldable flap 38, a tongue 39 being subsequently folded inwardly to be secured to it. |
