A connector module comprises an insulating housing 12 having a series of ridges 28 and valleys 30 on two sides so that similar module may be precisely aligned with said first module, and in only one way, the housing having end members 16 each having an octagonal opening 56 therein to receive a complementarily shaped bushing 58 attached to a pin having one flat side 60, which enables the module to be connected to a preselected mating member 14. Each module has two rows of socket receiving openings which at the front end have a crossshaped formation and receive contacts 20 which pass through the module and are held in position by twisting portion 42. These contacts engage with contacts 22 which have an identical forward portion to contacts 20, however at the rear end arms 94 and 98 engage opposite sides of a printed circuit board inserted in groove 90 in modular housing 14 which is similar in construction to housing 12. These contacts 22 are held in the housing by spring detents 102. Housing 14 receives end members 18 having an octagonal hole 80 within which is received a bushing 82 which has a hole having the same cross-section as pin 60, running along its axis. Members 18 have a rearwardly extending tag 86 through which a fastener may be inserted which also engages the printed circuit board to hold it in position. The modules may be manufactured in a long strip and the required lengths broken off.
