<p>A hose coupling that attaches to an artificial snow-making machine operable by mixing air from an air supply hose with a foam-forming fluid to produce artificial snow. The coupling comprises a hollow block 1 formed with a through bore that connects with an air supply, a fluid coupling 4 located in the bore in the hollow block for carrying the foam forming fluid and an electrical connector means 23 in the hollow block that connects respective cores of a two-core cable within the hose. The hose may connect to a complimentary hose coupling (fig. 4) whereby to enable air flowing through the hose, foam through the tube and electric signals to pass along the cable. The fluid coupling may extend outwardly of the hose coupling for a fluid-tight mating with complimentary inwardly extending fluid coupling. The electrical connectors may extend outwardly for connection with complimentary inwardly extending connectors of the mating hose coupling. The hose coupling may further comprise fastenings to fasten (fig 1, 31) the two joined hose couplings. The fastenings may comprise an over-centre means on one hose, engageable in an annular groove in the complimentary mating hose coupling.</p> |
