<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that narrows a detection range of dust with an optical sensor to improve the accuracy of detection of a dust amount. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a cleaner body housing an electric blower. A part of the vacuum cleaner includes a flat-shaped air-course forming part body 68, and the vacuum cleaner has an air-course forming part 33 for forming an air course W communicating with a suction side of the electric blower. The vacuum cleaner includes a light-emitting part 72 and a light-receiving part 73 opposite to each other, in a longitudinal direction of the air-course forming part body 68, and has an optical sensor 71 for detecting the dust amount passing through the air course W on the basis of a light-receiving amount of light emitted from the light-emitting part 72, at the light receiving part 73. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
