摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a drive force for driving a shaft in an axial direction to a small level by reducing friction and a load applied to the shaft for driving a helical spline in the axial direction. <P>SOLUTION: This variable valve mechanism 9 comprises: a camshaft 10; cam pieces 20, 30 externally fitted to the camshaft 10 and rotated with the camshaft 10 to drive valves 6, 7; and a variable mechanism 40 changing rotation phases of the cam pieces 20, 30 relative to the camshaft 10.
