There is provided a portable electronic apparatus that can determine a display device to be used desired by a user from among a plurality of display devices without increasing the cost. The portable electronic apparatus includes: a first display device that is arranged on a first casing; a second display device that is arranged on a second casing connected to the first casing; a contact detection unit that detects whether the user has come into contact with the first or second casing; and a control unit that enables the first or second display device on the basis of a detection result obtained by the contact detection unit.
