According to the present invention, a method for managing power in a dual band access point (AP) comprises the following steps: collecting wireless environment condition information of AP having two wireless modules which individually support frequency bands different from each other; analyzing the collected wireless environment condition information, and calculating an environment measurement value; monitoring whether the calculated environment measurement value satisfies a preset AP power-saving condition or not; and blocking power supply to a certain wireless module between the two wireless modules when the preset power-saving condition is satisfied.
