1. An imaging apparatus, comprising:
an imaging unit; a position detection unit configured to detect position information of the imaging apparatus; an acquisition unit configured to acquire candidate object information indicating an object which a photographer may desire to capture an image thereof within a search range of position information based on the position information detected by the position detection unit; a display unit configured to display a map on the basis of the position information detected by the position detection unit; a presenting unit configured to present the candidate object information on the map displayed by the display unit to the photographer; a recording unit configured to record image-capturing trend information indicating an image capturing trend of the imaging unit; and a determination unit configured to determine desired object information of an object which the photographer desires to capture an image thereof based on the image-capturing trend information recorded by the recording unit, wherein the object which the photographer desires is calculated to take into consideration a frequency at which the object is captured by other photographers.
