The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting a posture and outputting posture correction information. The apparatus for detecting a posture and outputting posture correction information comprises: an image photographing unit to photograph an image of the body of a user in the front thereof; a control unit to detect a virtual body skeleton and skeletal points in the image; a distance detection unit to detect a distance from the apparatus for detecting a posture and outputting posture correction information to each skeletal point according to the control of the control unit; a line vector generation unit to generate a virtual line vector connecting predetermined specific skeletal points among the skeletal points in one line according to the control of the control unit; and an alarm unit to output an alarm related to a correction posture according to the control of the control unit if a posture of the user needs to be corrected. |
