The present invention relates to a hybrid nanostructure catalytic system using a surface plasmon and, particularly, to a metal-insulation layer-metal nanostructure catalytic system. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for controlling catalytic activities of the nanostructure by using the surface plasmon and, more specifically, to catalytic activities for producing hot carriers (hot positive holes or hot electrons) from surface plasmon phenomena of a metal (2), and being controlled by passing the hot carriers through an insulation body and influencing catalytic activities of a metal (1), when exposing light to the metal (1)-insulation layer-metal (2) nanostructure. |
