1. An auditory prosthesis system comprising:
a sound processor module configured operate in accordance with a plurality of control parameters and comprising a plurality of contacts disposed on an outer surface of the sound processor module; and a control header module configured to be selectively coupled to the sound processor module and comprising
a plurality of pins configured to make contact with the contacts when the control header module is selectively coupled to the sound processor module, andone or more input facilities configured to adjust one or more control parameters included in the plurality of control parameters in response to manual input while the control header module is coupled to the sound processor module; a programming header module configured to be selectively coupled to the sound processor module in place of the control header module and comprising
a plurality of pins configured to make contact with the contacts when the programming header module is selectively coupled to the sound processor module in place of the control header module, anda fitting system interface facility configured to facilitate a fitting of the sound processor module to a patient while the programming header module is selectively coupled to the sound processor module in place of the control header module; wherein the control header module and the programming header module are hot swappable.
