According to the present invention, a shell of a linear compressor accommodates a cylinder, a piston reciprocating in the cylinder, and a motor assembly directly mounted on the piston to supply a drive force to the piston, is formed in a cylindrical shape, is provided in multiple plates wherein at least two plates are stacked on top of each other in a radial direction, and is provided with a resonator on an inner surface of the shell. According to the present invention, noise can be drastically reduced for a cylindrical linear compressor which can reduce a capacity of a machine room of an electronic device such as a refrigerator. According to the present invention, noise can be reduced for a linear compressor operating at a high speed exceeding 100 Hz to manufacture a premium product. According to the present invention, vibration noise as well as acoustic noise can be reduced to alleviate various forms of inconvenience experienced by a consumer. According to the present invention, a noise reduction structure of a linear compressor can be provided at low costs. |
