The present invention relates to a disinfecting apparatus for drinking water which stably and efficiently purifies water without an additional power supply apparatus with a simple structure, and furthermore has an improved structure to constantly maintain the concentration of chlorine. According to the present invention, the disinfecting apparatus for drinking water comprises: a flow rate controlling tank which receives water from the outside, stores the same, and has a drainage pipe which discharges the stored water at a constant flow rate; a sterilizing tank which receives the water discharged from the flow rate controlling tank, supplies a sterilizing solution which sterilizes a microorganism included in the water at a constant flow rate, equally mixes the sterilizing solution and the water, and discharges the same; and a filtering tank which receives the water discharged from the sterilizing tank, and filters the supplied water.
