Provided are an information processing apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The information processing apparatus performs a search for a device, displays a result of a result of the search for a device, and generates tag information to be recorded in a local wireless communications tag by using identification information of a device, selected by a user, based on the displayed search result. Afterwards, the information processing apparatus records the generated tag information in the local wireless communications tag by using local wireless communications. |
