The present invention relates to a terminal device having a screen locking function using an icon, and a recording medium having a program stored therein to perform a method for treating the screen locking. The terminal device according to an embodiment may perform a method for treating the screen locking, wherein the method comprises the following steps: displaying a screen locking state as a locking screen including a plurality of icons; sensing a touch operation about a display region including a display position of at least the icons on the locking screen; and selectively maintaining or canceling the screen locking state according to a result of comparing display region information having a sensed touch operation with predetermined locking canceling information. Accordingly, icons, such as marks, pictures, etc., having high identifiability are touched and operated, so a screen locking state may be canceled. Since awareness by a user is high, a possibility of forgetting registered icons to be used when a screen is locked and canceled is reduced. |
