The present relates to a pharmaceutical composition to prevent or treat vascular diseases comprising substances extracted from Lithospermum erythrorhizon S. et Z. and, more particularly, to a pharmaceutical composition to prevent or treat vascular diseases, which comprises substances extracted from Lithospermum erythrorhizon S. et Z. and has activities for preventing or treating vascular aging, and to a nutraceutical composition to prevent or improve vascular aging. The composition comprises a compound represented by chemical formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. In chemical formula 1, R_1 is one of C_1 to C_4 alkyl groups.
